Adventure Club Vikings
The Adventure Club Vikings event sets sail in your Monopoly Go game app from 1 PM ET on April 22nd and gives you five days and three hours to pillage a plunder loads of rewards which include exclusive event cosmetics, sticker packs, dice and a wild sticker if you can complete the event.
This is a team up event, similar to the previous Adventure Club Haunted Mansion where you have to team up with seven other players and work your way through various stages unlocking milestone rewards as you play through.
While you can of course play with random people, I would also encourge you to visit our friends over on the AppGamer Monopoly Go forum, where there is a thriving Monopoly Go community of friendly and active players that may want to team up with you.
Here is everything we know so far about this event, expect us to update this article as the event progresses.

Adventure Club Vikings rewards and milestones
Here’s what you can win in this new event, as well as the list below there are also loads of smaller milestone rewards as you work you way through the tasks in the Vikings.
Complete tasks and levels in this event in order to make progress towards the final prize. As you journey through the event expect rewards such as dice and cash mainly from completing the individual tasks.
Also, be aware that the rewards for individual tasks are only given to members of a team that have participated in scoring points for that task. All team members get each end of level reward however.

How to Play Adventure Club Vikings
When the event starts in your game, you’ll see spaces for seven partners as indicated by the slots on the game board. Just like in other parter events, tap the green plus icon to find a partner from your friends list and send them an invite, or to approve an invite that you’ve received.
You can select up to seven partners to play alongside in this event, if you don’t reach seven, then teams will be merged together so that everyone ends up in a team consisting of eight players.
If you manage to complete your team of eight players before the end of the 24 hour team up phase, your team can enter the event and start tackling tasks right away and not wait until the end of the team up phase.
How to get more Vikings tokens
In order to complete tasks in the Vikings, you have to collect event tokens. You can get these from Quick Wins, the eight hourly shop gift, and also any banner event and tournament that starts after this special event starts for the duration of the special event.
Banner events and tournaments are the best place to get tokens, so do take a look at what events are on right now and coming up next on our daily events schedule to know at which milestones all of the tokens are, to help plan how far you want to play each event to make the most of your available dice.
Tokens are used for actions in Adventure Club Vikings so try to get as many as you can to help out your team.
What to do in the Vikings
After the 24 hours of time to arrange your team elapses, or as soon as you have a team of eight players, the actual fun starts.

Vikings level stages
Once you start a task you’ll see the milestone bar and options that you can select to use some of your tokens to make progress towards the end goal.
The best option is to have each member of a team participate in each task, because only if you participate do you get the reward for that task.
Once you complete all of the tasks in a section that completes a level on the main milestone list and all team members get that reward. You can find the main milestone list at the top of this page.
While there are also chests on each level, think carefully before trying these as only some of the rewards from chests are valid for the whole team, some are just for the taker, in which case it may be better to save the valuable Adventure Club tokens for later milestones.

Chests milestones
In terms of teamplay, it’s better to dedicate your teams resources on fixing the main tasks as opposed to just going after chest steals.
There are many sections to make your way through in Adventure Club Vikings, and for each one there is a similar goal, to complete the tasks and to get you to the next section until the milestone or event is completed.
How to complete tasks in Vikings
The mechanics of the Vikings event seems to be more or less the same as when the Adventure Club ran previously for Haunted Mansion, so if you have already played that event, you may be familiar with how this event works.
Once your team has formed you can start the event. Click some objects to see which task you are able to complete. When you click on an object that gives you a task, there are one to three different numbered options that you can select from along with the token cost for selecting that option.

Complete tasks to progress
Once you have selected one, two cards are then drawn from your deck and the total of these cards must either match or beat the number shown by adding the two cards together. Power cards can help, as well as the temperature slide, more on those in a moment,

Card Deck
In your deck there are cards numbered 2-10 plus power cards which can assist you in your task. Also there is a temperature slider to help you out whether you are on a losing or winning streak.
If your deck is on fire, which is after you make five wins in a row, then you’ll be able to draw an extra card. However if you continually lose, you’ll go further down the ice scale, but you’ll get 1-4 extra points added to your score of the two drawn cards.
The power cards are drawn like any other card, at random, from your deck and they perform the following functions:
- Green – Shuffle – Reshuffles your deck
- Red – On Fire – Sets your deck’s temperature to On Fire instantly
- Blue – Team Boost – The value of your card is multiplied by the number of team members that are at the task
- Light Blue – Ice Cold – Sets your deck’s temperative to Ice Cold instantly
So you can see that drawing the Team Boost card while there are many team members on the same task will be really helpful. Drawing the Ice Cold card is also a big help as the next card you draw will get four points added to it.
Getting your deck on fire will allow you to draw an extra card each try as long as you keep that streak going! Going further along the ice scale by losing tries will push your counter down the cold side of the temperature scale, where you get anywhere from one to four additional points to your card total depending on where you are on the scale.
Also, if you draw two cards that are the same, then you’ll get to draw one extra card for that turn.
The key to completing task, winning those chests and working your way through the event milestones is to all contribute as a team. Probably best not to steal chests from other players as that won’t help morale too much! And will likely cause other players to steal too, and as already explained, getting these chests can use up too many event tokens, when the real prize is after completing all four event milestones to get the grand prize.
Obviously like other partner games, if you know who you are teaming up with then you may stand a better chance of completing this event, so do take some time to find the best partners that you can. Remember to check the profiles of anyone that you send an invite out to.
Should you pick a low number or high number to try to beat? I think this depends on a few things. For example if I am an ‘on fire’ hot streak, then I’ve been going for the low numbers to try to keep the streak going for longer, the extra card that you get for being on fire is really helpful so you should be able to beat most one star numbers.
If I’m not on a streak, then I tend to go for the higher numbers, like the 17s or 20s, that way I’ll likely fail them, but move down ice levels until I get to ice cold with the +4 bonus, and you get that until you beat the number.
That’s all we have now for this event, expect some more updates on this page soon after the event starts.
